Motorsport Nationals? And you thought NOPI was gone!

Well we just got an e-mail about the “NOPI Nationals” taking place now under the moniker Motorsporst Nationals? We really have no idea what is going on with this Atlanta based camp these days nor does anyone else seem to? We are guessing since the venue has shifted to a Convention Center that Drifting will no longer be a part of the program which means we can stop talking about this awesome event before it starts.
On the site they even bothered to say this:
“Wow, you guys sure know how to blog! The rumor mill in this industry is unbelievable! Anyway, after a long hard week of negotiations, we are moving the Nationals to the beautiful facilities at GICC by the Atlanta Airport. “
Yet it was on NOPI.com’s very own website that we based this information off of (NOPI Drift is No More). This is what NOPI put on their site and sent out as an official press release through their agency. Confusion, we think so!?

Rumor is that NOPI Motorsports (which also threw NOPI Nationals) is going to be claiming bankruptcy. Absolving them of their debts and allowing them to close shop. If they threw “NOPI Nationals” under the same company, then they’d be using all the profits from Nationals to pay off the debts from drag racing and drifting.
So they make a new company, throw the event under that new company’s name, and take all the profits to the bank. Just like the old days.
These guys are really shady. Nobody likes them. They’re greedy trolls who don’t give a crap about the average car guy, just what pads their pockets (and let’s them hang out with NopiChics to look cooler).

NO I DON’T THINK SO!!! Motor Sport Nationals is owned by Bob Daniel “Southeast Staging Inc.” and Jay Wilcoxon of Jay Bird Productions who was the voice for Nopi Nationals! They are not affiliated with NOPI, NOPI Drift or Nopi Nationals in any way! The NOPI people are not their on our side either. Bob and Jay got together only after NOPI canceled their event! Since they could not work out things with the Atlanta Motor Speedway, they have both pitched in to produce “The Motor Sport Nationals”. They already understand the fact they can’t even break even on this event, however they also know that the fans need to have a major event in the Atlanta area being that it is the hub of the Southeast! So for you believers it will be moved to the GICC in Atlanta on the same dates (Sept. 20, 21) so we don’t do what NOPI has done in the past! (Lose their ASS and take your money) We will do the best of our ability (with only 5 weeks to organize a major event!) And hopefully with your support we will be back next year so Atlanta can host once again “The Largest Import Show in the World! P.S. we have already had 43,000 hits on our site in the first 24hrs.and IASCA has signed and will be their in full force!
Well, I’m not sure who the others are talking about but, I know Bob with Southeast Staging Inc. and he is a FIRST CLASS guy!!
If you were going to put on an event, he would be the one I would want to go to for sure!! Listen to this…. They have done many many events including but not limited to all of Ted Turner Stadium events for the Braves, The Georgia Dome for the Falcon’s, Phillips Arena, The Omni (years ago)only to name a few. If this guy is the go to man of those professional organizations, I would sure want him on my team if I were putting something like this together. Its really all about making people happy and providing a venue or event for people to have fun. As the saying goes, “you have to pay to play” so, I’m not sure what prob is??? Just think….there is someone out there that is considering what the ATL peeps are looking for…. not out for himself!! If he had not done this project, there would be NOTHING to go to!!!
So, you wanna be a part of a great party? Or, do you wanna sit at home and watch the Beverly Hillbilly’s???? BE THERE HOMIES!!!!
So if you guys hvae nothing to do with “NOPI” then why do you guys have the same artist that NOPI brought like Kudzu……and why do you guys have the same looking graphics that are hideously disgusting all over your website? AND how is it you have the NOPI Chic tour coming…….it’s all smoke and mirrors from you guys. Just more typical NOPI antics. Nobody cares that you guys are going to make “no money either,” welcome to running a business. Just because J-Bird does some announcing at the Thrashers games doesn’t mean he is a go to guy either. Just cut the crap and stick to selling shitty parts until you guys go bankrupt.

**Did you ever think that it would be tough to get tallen in such short notice? They went to the talent that was already scheduled for that weekend and was able to keep them because they already had a booking date w/NOPI!! easy enough??

Well, thats “your” opinion and I respect that but, you have to think that they are after the same demographic’s so, I would guess they looked at the same type of graphics for the website to attract as may of the people that were at NOPI.

Again, I would think that since the origional event was canceled, they knew they had an available date. To me, I thought they did a GREAT job!! But, again, your opinion “may” be different!!

Again, you have no clue what you are talking about!! Those guys don’t sell parts!! Here is a little tip for you…google the name of the company that that is behind this event, you will see that they are in no way affiliated with NOPI!!
In closing, I have to say I admire your courage to type those comments you typed but, I invite you to do a little investigation of your own prior to making assumptions and putting them in print. You have your right to your opinion however, have some facts in the bank before making yourself look bad!!
