We caught up with Tanner Foust at the AEM booth for a great interview. It was the longest interview in Wrecked Magazine history to date at 7+ minutes but well worth a tune in. Tanner touches on the new AEM/Rockstar Scion tC, Formula D 2009, and the Redbull Championship coming up this weekend. Don’t miss this great interview with 2008 champion Tanner Foust.

This is the best we could do for a spy shot sadly of Vaughn’s 2010 Ford Mustang for now but the car will be unveiled on Speed TV on November 18th at 10pm EST/7pm PST with Vaughn Gittin Jr. His 2010 Mustang will be one of the first one that will be officially unveiled on television and to the public before the LA Auto show other than all those lame render drawings and camo pictures everyone has captured. So make sure to tune in and see this new build before everyone live on Speed.
Tune In: Tuesday November 18th to Speed Channel - 10pm EST/7pm PST

After the drama that spiraled from Drifting.com to the Wrecked Magazine blog to my cell phone. I told Chris Rado that we would give him a chance to speak it out and let the Drifting community know his side of the story. In a little over five minutes Chris lays it out all on the table for us as we expected. He says he will be driving at the West Coast Formula D Pro Am this weekend in Tony Angelo’s S13 Nissan 240sx. He also told us that for 2009 he will NOT be building a Toyota tC like everyone else. He is looking at a native RWD Toyota to start his build on, sounds exciting.

Here is an interesting animation of the Redbull Championship track for this weekend. It does look like the super long straight away that was billed from this event since the beginning. Although clearly this map isn’t to scale so it doesn’t really tell us that much like the potential entry speed but we are going to guess it will fall in the 80-100 mph range. This first turn looks intense with this crazy narrow decreasing radius first turn into the clipping points. It seems like a track that you must be on point from the beginning to LINK the whole track. I am really interested to see the Pro Am guys try and tackle this course. I have a sneaky feeling that some Am guys won’t be making that first turn and totaling some S13 240sx’s.

Check out this installment of Bosch TV where we got to sit down with Vaughn Gittin Jr. and his Falken Tires Ford Mustang for an extended period of time. He walked through the whole machine with us and how it has grown since the 2005 season where he unveiled it. Take a minute to listen to Vaughn Gittin Jr. run through the Mustang and you will probably learn a thing or two about Betsey before she gets retired next week at Redbull.

Wrecked Magazine Issue 7 just came out and with the SEMA craze last week we want to spend some time now and tell you to go read this amazing issue. We covered Justin Pawlak’s great success as a rookie in the 2008 season. He is the first ever Pro Am driver to make a Formula D podium to date. We sat down with him for a great interview so don’t miss a second of it. Also, let’s not forget our Top 10 Wrecks of Formula D history which even includes some amazing crash videos we dug up out of the archives. An Industry Insider with Brian Crower, a full MSC Drift gallery, and a review of the Mad Skills DVD. Don’t miss all this and our new advertisement from AEM!

Our designer Kevin shot me this today that he found on the Forza Motorsports 2 forum. The user cobratuner uploaded these work in progress of Tanner Foust’s 2009 Formula D car. Since only a render was released we feel this is a pretty close and cool mock up of his new drifting machine. In the forum thread cobratuner has posted some mocks of quite a few other Drifting machines as well, make sure to check them out.
