Formula D got a little crazy in Monroe, Washington as the rain came pouring down during the second runs of qualifying. Vaughn Gittin Jr. felt the affects of the rain after making an error on his first run and then spun out in the rain for his second resulting in not making the top 16.

The wife of Sam Hubinette has been seen behind the wheel over the past recent months. Over the weekend she strapped in at the Redline Time Attack in a Dodge Neon SRT4. She was able to place second in the Modified FWD class. She ended up posting a 1:56.6 for the weekend. We just wanted to wish a congrats to Stina!

Okay so this isn’t true AT ALL but Formula D gave us a good chuckle on Sunday by uploading this error on the main site. They labeled third place winner Sam Hubinette as Rhys Millen. Millen was eliminated from competition over the Vegas weekend after a hard hit into the turn one wall. Formula D quickly took down the page and made the proper changes to it’s Formula D official site.Click the image to view a full resolution version.
Check out all the action from Friday’s practice and unseeded qualifying at Formula D Las Vegas! Many cars fell victim to this aggressively styled track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Check out the gallery here

Sam Hubinette took us on a little behind the scenes peak at what Fast and the Furious 4 will be like. He is stunt driving in the movie naturally since the film is based on Drifting. Here is a shot from the set, notice the R34 Nissan Skyline (blue) lined up with some American muscle ready to do battle.
Check this shot out….note that the second car seems to have at least two duplicates sitting next to it, perhaps we can expect to see that thing see some carnage!
Here are pictures of Sam in makeup before his Drifting sequence.
