With Drifting winding down I have had some spare time on the weekends. I am sure I COULD be doing repairs around the house or working on my corolla, but my girlfriend (Susan) and I have been heading over to our local Animal shelter and pitching in.

Its pretty sad to see all these homeless dogs. I don’t know what would make someone drop a dog off there and just throw in the towel. These little guys and girls have so much love to give and i can tell when we show up some are really happy to see us.

When we showed up to the shelter the first time to help out they asked what we wanted to do and we didnt know what to say. They had us socialize the dogs and to work with them on basic commands and get them used to walking on a leash. Some of these dogs have lived their whole lives without being on leashes or having to “learn” anything but how to survive.

I got assigned to a 50 something pound Staffordshire Terrier named “Puck”. When i opened his crate he was covered in shit, yeah like ALL covered in it. So i gave him a bath. Since that first weekend anytime i take him out for an adoption day he gets a bath. Most dogs hate bath’s and fight you start to finish. Not Puck, he doesnt fuss, fight or try to escape. He usually looks ahead and every so often looks over at me and gives me a lick on the face. I have been working with Puck for about a month or so trying to let everyone who stops to pet him at adoption days know what a sweet and loving dog he is. I would tell them how well he walks on a leash, how he learned to sit on command in like 5 minutes. How great he is with kids,other dogs,and other people. I talked about Puck to anyone who would listen, including my neighbor. After all that, our hard work had paid off, My neighbor Brenda signed the paperwork and is adopting Puck this weekend. So now i get to see him everyday!

So im heading out to the second to last Clubloose event of the season. I usually dont sit and watch youtube video’s of drifting (cause i would rather drive) but this one is pretty rad. I have drifted a corolla more or less since the beginning and these Team Mouse cars are pretty nice. Im sure they have no power and rattle like all hell but hey, thats part of the appeal. Here is a team drift option video bullshit of them running. I love AM drifting so much. The first entry is AMAZING!  everyone needs to do dirt drop to jump entries!

It was on the kind of legendary Englishtown Go Kart Track. A small, Low third entry with the rest being a second gear course.  Here is a small video of resident awesome dude Rich abella Testing out the course. Keep in mind this was minutes after another car dropped oil all over the track from a broken greddy oil filter relocation kit.

Long time Clublooser Jared Donaldson stopped by to hangout with his “Turbo Bus” daily driver. He popped his SR like 2 years ago, But has since rebuilt and vows 2009 will see his triumphant return to the fold! We miss you Jared.

As I started my trek to work this morning it started snowing…… Already. This is the time of the year i hate most. its 40 degrees already and I’m bummed. Its 10:00 and its starting to accumulate… I hate snow.  

Firt off i would like to shout out to one of my favorite local drivers,

He is the shortest dude i know, but has the biggest heart. He is so over being a pro drifter and does it for the love…

I want to congradulate Justin Pawlek for Third place victory in boring pro drifting and original clubloose drifter Vaughn Gittin Jr for his top o’ the podium finish at this weekend formula D final .

Blogging has been both boring and nearly impossible without a good camera. Not only do i need it to take wicked myspace shots. But i also need a camera to let you see through my eyes. 

Here is a little story. Back when i was growing up on the farms of NJ we didnt really have much to do. Field and bonfire parties were common and yes drinking would take place. One of my good buddies Pat Dennigan would take his drinking seriously, as any good irishman should. Anytime we had a party Pat would ALWAYS be the drunkenest. It seems like 5 minutes into the party he would be slurring and and the bottle of booze in his hand would be almost empty. Pat would always get into trouble too. Fighting ten dudes from the town over..done. Smashing somone’s house to shit… done. Entering a neighbors house thinking it was the house the party was at .. done. Getting arrested and charged with assualting an officer..done. 

During these times i always wished i could make some sort of helmet cam to capture Pats exploits. Sadly i am old and technology and my general know how during that time period was limited. 

I dont know the point of all that but i know when UPS man comes to my house, i will use my newly purchased Samsung L200 10megapixel camera to fill these pages with all the awesome and hilarious shit i see. Its gonna be so awesome!

For anyone that doesnt know ZT is an elitest drifting forum. Its full of many “PRO” drivers and goofs. The for sale section is all awesome parts, all the time and full of discounts you can find no where else!

So yesterday CRC Industries was all up in the shop making dyno runs all day long. Allegedly the MAF cleaner they make has this little claim on the bottle to make 4-10 HP. Well again they backed up this can’s claim, actually exceeding it!. News flash Nissan dummies, yall should have this can at all times.

Everyone’s car made more power but Pat’s 929. I think all the years of me owning it put some serious hurt on it . The Nine Duece managed a ground pounding 113 hp out of its V6 power plant, oh and he also has 2 bad knock sensors (Get serious Pat!). No amount of Maf cleaner or praying to the gods of speed could help this clapped out mid 90’s behemoth.

I came into work early today cause CRC Industries had rented the dyno for the whole day. They have done this before to dyno test the results of their CRC Maf cleaner. They claim some sort of HP gain and if you look at the bottle you see my job name on the back (DYNO results based on testing @ RT Tuning.)

Well today they are apparently shooting some sort of commercial and instructional video promoting their products.. and i guess how to use a spray can ?!?! I met all the marketing big wigs and the testing got underway. Hopefully they buy us lunch cause there were no bagels or ANYTHING here when i got here. BOGUS. Anyway im starving and will update this if anythign cool happens.. But i doubt it. Maybe they will dyno my Odyssey.
