Rockstar Energy welcomes Amanda Sorensen, a rising star in the world of Formula DRIFT, to its impressive lineup of athlete partners. This partnership continues to strengthen Rockstar’s presence in motorsports with one of the industry’s most promising drivers. Amanda’s trailblazing achievements and relentless pursuit for excellence both on and off the track embodies the spirit of Rockstar Energy.

Amanda's Motorsports Background

As one of the youngest and only female drivers in Formula DRIFT, Sorensen’s journey has been incredible to watch. She got her start behind the wheel at age 6, motivated by sibling rivalry, driving 50-cc go-kart alongside her brother, Formula DRIFT driver Branden Sorensen. A few years later, Amanda Sorensen won her first Karting championship at only 9 years old. She most recently made history in 2024 as the first woman to claim a podium position in Formula DRIFT.

Mind-Body Energy

“As the newest driver to join the Rockstar family, I’m proud to have the brand by my side as I continue pushing boundaries and creating history within the world of racing,” says Amanda Sorensen. “In Formula DRIFT, split-second decisions make all the difference. That's why I've made Rockstar part of my pre-race ritual – it keeps me sharp and focused when the pressure's high.”

Rockstar Energy gives athletes the sustained mind-body energy they need to dominate when it matters most, fueling them with the mental clarity and physical stamina required for peak performance. Whether it's handling a drift car at breakneck speeds or pushing through demanding competition days, Rockstar provides the reliable energy that separates champions from contenders.

Rest of the Team

“We are excited to work with Amanda as she takes on the track this year,” says Steve Mateus, director of sports marketing, Rockstar Energy. “Amanda's fearless attitude and natural talent behind the wheel embodies what Rockstar Energy is all about. We look forward to supporting Amanda on her Formula DRIFT journey as she sets her sights on a PROSPEC championship this year and aims to join the PRO class by 2026.”

Sorensen's addition follows the recent signings of motorsport phenom Lia Block and golf standout Charley Hull earlier this year. Sorensen joins an exceptional lineup of Rockstar athletes including three-time Formula DRIFT champion Fredric Aasbø and his teammate Ryan Tuerck; surfer and Olympic medalist Tatiana Weston-Webb; snowboarders Jill Perkins, Olympic Gold Medalist Red Gerard, and six-time X Games Medalist Reira Iwabuchi; and Olympic skateboarders Chris Joslin, Cory Juneau and two-time Olympic Gold Medalist Keegan Palmer.
