A Minnesota professional drift driver faces misdemeanor charges following a reported domestic incident in Sherburne County. No findings have been made by the court.

Criminal charges have been filed in Sherburne County, Minnesota, against Alec Robbins, 34, in connection with a reported domestic incident that occurred in November 2025.

According to a Sherburne County Sheriff’s Office public arrest report dated November 20, 2025, Robbins has been charged with one count of interrupting an emergency 911 call, a gross misdemeanor, and one count of misdemeanor domestic assault. The charges remain pending.

According to police records obtained by Wrecked Magazine, deputies responded to a residence in Becker Township shortly after midnight on November 16, 2025. An adult female at the residence was observed to have injuries described in the report as a bruise and a scratch on her left arm.

The criminal complaint alleges that a verbal argument escalated after the reporting party indicated she intended to contact law enforcement. The complaint states that Robbins took her phone during the incident and that a physical altercation occurred. Deputies documented these statements as part of their investigation.

The criminal complaint further states that Robbins acknowledged an argument took place and that he took possession of the phone, while disputing other aspects of the account. No findings of fact have been made by the court.

Alec Robbins has competed in events sanctioned by Formula DRIFT. Formula DRIFT is not involved in this matter and has not been accused of any wrongdoing.

Law enforcement records identify the reporting party as Chelsea Robbins, who has since shared her experience publicly on social media. She has stated that she and her children are currently safe and have had no contact with the accused since the November incident.

All charges are allegations. Robbins is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.

UPDATE 03 Feb 26 - Alec Robbins has reached out to Wrecked Magazine to provide the following statement:

“This involves a complicated personal relationship and circumstances that aren’t accurately reflected by a single police report or an arrest. I disagree with how events have been characterized, but for privacy and legal reasons I’m not able to get into specific details.”
